The HUB ASP is a comprehensive after school program for Middle School and High School students. It is housed in the HUB Youth Center. The program was designed to "provide a safe and positive atmosphere for young people that encourages them to succeed." The program provides a structured schedule consisting of free time to socialize, play games and for homework and tutoring. Ultimately, Mini Courses will be offered to students in the areas such as life-skills, the arts, health, and technology. The HUB ASP is currently staffed with a team of community volunteers. It is a separate non-profit organization ran by a board of directors.
This 6,200 square foot state of the art youth center is located at the south end of the building. It includes it's own separate entrance and also a 1,376 square foot outside covered assembly space. The HUB youth center can accommodate up to 300 and contains: a performance stage/ lounge area/video game stations, multiple large screen plasma TV monitors, internet stations, table games (pool, foosball and ping-pong) and cafe area. Designed to appeal to the youth, it however is a fun environment for adults too.
